I am so used to updating this page for Ashlyn I forget to update on Kinsey! I love her name. I absolutely just love saying it, typing it, thinking it... I can't wait to meet her. The beginning of this pregnancy got off to a rough start but as it gets closer (I'm at most 17 weeks away and if she's anything like her sister closer to 13 weeks away) I just get so excited.
We had our big medical ultrasound a few weeks ago and got the results back last week. Everything looked wonderful according to the doctor. She is measuring about a week ahead (see at MOST 17 weeks) If she is a big baby I don't know if I will know what to do with her. Ashlyn was so tiny.
Ways this pregnancy is different... in the beginning I was sicker longer. I feel like this one is sticking closer to the wives tales of a baby girl than Ashlyn did. Ashlyn loved when her daddy touched my tummy. It seems like Kinsey likes sounds more. She loves Ashlyn talking to her and when Ash talks right to my belly Kinsey goes crazy! Ashlyn loved to kick when I laid down at night but Kinsey is more consistent after a meal and when I lay down to sleep she doesnt make a peep (maybe we have a sleeper this time?)
The best part so far about having a girl is that I know that anything I buy Ashlyn will get another use so I dont have to be as restrictive about pink and girlie as I might have been. If I see a beautiful dress that I might have passed on before I don't feel as bad buying it.
I need to scan the newest 3D ultrasound pictures so you can see her but its amazing how adorable she already looks. Next appt. is the fun glucose diabetes test appt and then one more ultrasound to look at heart development. We are getting there!
