Ashlyn at 25 months

I feel like more than a month has passed since Ashlyn's 2nd birthday. She seems so grown up lately. She is so sweet. I have had the flu and strep throat all in one week. Anytime someone coughs, sneezes, or burps for that matter Ashlyn says "OK mommy?" We realized that we say "You Ok?" everytime she coughs and so she's picked this up. She also says it when she does one of the above things.. "OK Ashie? OK!" and answers herself. How adorable? I wish I could catch moments like this on camera. She just gives you the sweetest most concerned look. If our children are little mirrors of us, this gives me a good feeling that she feels comforted when she coughs because it's so comforting to me.
I guess in an effort to keep our house from being completely destroyed... we didn't realize Ashlyn can now totally drink out of an open cup... Caught her sneaking my apple juice and she did great! Lets just hope I wasn't contagious with strep at this point!!
She was so proud of herself!

She is talking like crazy. She is starting to use ordinal numbers... "I watch Kai Lan first, Olivia next!" She just amazes me. She loves back and forth play like tea parties... as I type I hear her directing play with daddy, "my turn now! Now your turn daddy" I think they are having a tea party complete with fake snacks... She likes you to eat your food out of the tea cup though so she hasn't fully grasped the concept.
She loves to watch Ni Hao Kai Lan, Olivia, and My Little Ponies. Today she told her daddy "Ni Hao!" How cute she's learning Mandarin Chinese LOL! She has a few episodes on my IPad and she can navigate between them all by herself... its Amazing!
She got busted pulling up a chair to the IPad while it was charging...
My Little Ponies are her favorite toy though. She will be so excited to find out the next McDonald's toy is My Little Pony. She knows all their names and loves to play beauty shop brushing their hair. We often have to lug all of them in the car with us to daycare in the morning.

Food wise we have hit another wall... we no longer like pizza or burgers which had become a staple of her diet. She did try chicken nuggets and ate 2 on Wednesday so that was cause for celebration!
She still likes her fruit which is good. She also would live on fruit snacks and yogurt still. She is such a difficult little eater!
She has been sleeping through the night in her bed at least once a week for the last few weeks. Such a big difference in how well rested the whole family is, even if it is just one night a week!
