Happy Mother's Day!

We had a wonderful 1st mothers day. Mommy got a new GPS because her family said they'd "be "lost" without her" Mommy gets lost here a lot!!! Then we went to eat at Cheesecake Factory. Yummy!!! We have 3 Cheesecake Factories within 10-15 minutes of us!!! We love it here!!! Then we walked around the Old Orchards Mall and did a little shopping for Mothers Day. After we got some stuff done at the house and had some fun family time. It was the perfect day!

A day in the city

One of my classmates Joel also moved to Chicago for his internship. Matt and Billy (also Comm Dissers) made the trip up with him. We did the touristy thing for a few hours and then came back to Joel's apt. to have a BBQ. It was nice to hang out with some familiar faces!

Adventures in Illinois

Our friends the Barlow's came up to visit us last weekend. Danyelle and I worked at (or survived) Early Steps in Sarasota together. We both say we worked there just so we could become friends! When we met she was pregnant with Haylee and now there are 3 little ones! We had a great day catching up.

We are officially Illinois residents!!!

We have officially made the move. Erik drove the truck up on the 23rd with our dads and Ashlyn and I flew up the 25th with the help of my sister and Erik's mom. I was so proud of Ash she did so well on the plane! The new house is great. 3 bedroom 2 bath. It has a beautiful deck and fenced in yard for the dogs. The neighborhood is really nice and we even had cookies and brownies left on our doorstep as a welcome from the neighbors!!! How cool! I love the midwest. We have been working hard to get the house in order and also having a little fun. Our friends the Barlows came up from Peoria and we also took a trip into the city for a BBQ with some of my friends from my Masters program. I start internship next week!
