Our Trip to Peoria and Chicago

Well we are back from our trip. I had 3 interviews and they all went well. I really liked 2 of the places but one was definitely better for me than the other.
We had a great time. We visited our friends the Barlows in Peoria, saw Dawn and Danny in Chicago and Ashlyn got her first taste of real Chicago style food!!! Oh did you catch that... Yep baby Poyer has a name now!!! She has started kicking a lot more too. I don't know if it was all the good food or if she really loves Chicago but man she was active on our trip. Every time the EL started moving she would kick. It was pretty funny! We also caught a Cubs game in Atlanta before we headed up and hung outside Wrigley last night and watched the game at Casey Morans with friends. Check out some pics from our trip.

I love my husband

No new baby news to share except that I've started feeling the baby move a little bit. Nothing major yet just feels like someone is blowing bubbles in my tummy! I am so impatient for Friday that I thought I would do a little post to hold me over.
First of all I just wanted to mention that I absolutely love my husband for running out at 10 pm to get me chocolate because none of the chocolate at the house sounded good to me. And not just for running out but for coming back with multiple choices of chocolate! Yummy! He's the best!
So I thought I would answer a few of the questions I get the most...

What has been the best part of this pregnancy?
I would say the best part has definitely been seeing how Erik has really grown up and being able to appreciate what a great husband he is and what a great father he will be. This has brought us so much closer and I am so excited about our future.

What has been the worst part of pregnancy?
I would say that even worse than the sickness earlier in the pregnancy is the sleeping problems Im having now. And at least with nausea I knew it would end after the first trimester. This is just going to get worse as I get further along. I guess its preparing me for the baby. It's hard to get comfy, you have to pee several times a night, my nose is all stuffy, and my dachshund still likes to sleep on my tummy or my body pillow so I have to fight her off of there. I'm worried how she will adjust to the baby.

Have you had any strange cravings?
No crazy combinations of anything incredibly strange. The other morning though I wanted crunchy tacos for breakfast. I don't usually eat crunchy tacos so for me that was odd. My wonderful husband took me to taco bell as early as we could. Earlier in the pregnancy I craved butter all the time. I always wanted to eat things I could have butter like toast, english muffins, etc. But really it was just for the butter. At least I didn't eat it out of the tub or anything! I've been craving cheese a lot lately too. And Italian sodas mmm I want one of those right now. Does anyone know anywhere to get them besides the coffee shop by Harry's?

Well expect the next post on Friday! That will be the big one!
P.S. Congrats to Rosemary and Lance on the birth of their little princess Madeline.
