So many new things!!!

So Ashlyn is just taking off lately!!!
She now moves down into crawling position and will move a tiny bit. She also scoots around on her butt and more than once we have found her far from where she was put!!! She has no fear and will scale over people and furniture to get what she wants so we have to be very careful about where we are leaving her! Earlier this week I set her in her crib while I picked out her outfit. I heard her giggling and turned around to see her standing there holding on to the crib rail!!! Time to lower the bed she is now pulling up! She is so proud of herself! You know I have to mention what she is doing language-wise. In church last Sunday it was quiet and everyone was praying and Ashlyn shouts out "MAMA" wanting to be picked up. Have heard it a few times before but wasn't sure of the intention but this time it was loud and clear! She has also been imitating the sign for "more" to get big people food at dinner. Her favorite song is "Wheels On the Bus" and she is beginning to imitate some of the movements to it! She learns more every day and is just so precious!!!
Grandma Branem and Auntie Kate are visiting and she's having a blast with them. Our friends Sonny and Crystal are also up but I'm so busy finishing internship I haven't seen them much. Daddy made it to his first Cubs game of the season which they won 12-0.
Graduation is next weekend so I am so excited to go visit Florida friends and family and finally finish my Masters program!!! I get 2 weeks off before I start back to work :o(
I'll post some new pics of Ash soon!

Ashlyn is 7 months old!!!

Wow time sure does fly!!! I can't believe our little pumpkin is already 7 months old! She is so much fun now! She is sitting well by herself. She loves to play on her mat or in her playpen with all her toys. Her favorite toy is definitely the remote or the cell phone. I learned that lesson the hard way when my phone refused to work after being filled with slober! Lately she's been a momma's girl I think because I'm gone so much. Im looking forward to having a few weeks off with her before I go back to work. The doctor has us starting her on protein in an effort to get her weight up a bit more. She is seeing a new doctor that I LOVE! She was wonderful about our shot schedule and is really proactive about Ashlyn's care. The first night Ashlyn devoured the chicken we gave her but last night she didn't want anything to do with it. We'll see how tonight goes! Here are her 7 mo. pictures. We went with a patriotic theme.

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! The weather wasn't as nice as we hoped. It rained on and off all day ruining our plans for playing outside but it cleared up in time for the fireworks. We were worried Ashlyn might be scared of them but she LOVED them. She watched for about 10 minutes in awe and then passed out in my arms. She slept right through the finale! The dogs make one noise at home and she's wide awake but she can sleep through a grande finale!!! Check out the pictures of all of Ashlyn's "costume" changes. She was very patriotic!
